VIRTUAL MUSEUMS IN THE CONTEXT OF VIRTUAL REALITY AND SIMULATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

ABSTRACT<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this study, the subjects of \u201cspeed of technological development\u201d and \u201ctransition of museums to the virtual environment\u201d are discussed in the light of virtual reality and simulation. Initially, the concepts of virtual reality and simulation are explained, then museums in the virtual environment are evaluated. The subjects are discussed in general terms rather than classical definitions, and their connections with museums in virtual environment are presented. In the second step, some predictions are made with respect to its reflections in the future and the social transformation is focused. Later, the study is exemplified with The Museum of Innocence of Orhan Pamuk and Women’s Museum Istanbul.<\/p>\n

Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada teknolojinin geli\u015fim h\u0131z\u0131 ile m\u00fczelerin sanal ortama ge\u00e7i\u015fleri sanal ger\u00e7eklik ve sim\u00fclasyon konular\u0131 \u0131\u015f\u0131\u011f\u0131 alt\u0131nda incelenmi\u015ftir. Sanal ger\u00e7eklik ve sim\u00fclasyon konular\u0131 \u00f6ncelikli olarak a\u00e7\u0131klanm\u0131\u015f ard\u0131ndan sanal ortamdaki m\u00fczeler i\u00e7in bir de\u011ferlendirme yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Klasik tan\u0131mlamalardan daha \u00e7ok konular genel hatlar\u0131 ile ele al\u0131nm\u0131\u015f, internet ortam\u0131ndaki m\u00fczelerle bu anlamda ba\u011f kurulmu\u015f, gelecekteki yans\u0131malar\u0131na dair \u00f6ng\u00f6r\u00fclerde bulunulmu\u015f ve toplumsal d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcm \u00fczerinde durulmu\u015ftur. \u00c7al\u0131\u015fma Orhan Pamuk’un Masumiyet M\u00fczesi ve \u0130stanbul Kad\u0131n M\u00fczesi \u00f6rnekleri \u00fczerinden a\u00e7\u0131klanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/p>\n
