Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada yeni medya kuram\u0131 \u00e7er\u00e7evesinde \u00f6ncelikle Web 2.0 olgusu incelenmi\u015ftir, ard\u0131ndan sosyal medyan\u0131n tan\u0131m\u0131 ve hayat\u0131m\u0131zdaki artan etkileri etki kuram\u0131 dahilinde incelemeye al\u0131nm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Tarihsel olarak t\u00fcketicilerin perakende sat\u0131n alma davran\u0131\u015flar\u0131 ve karar verme mekanizmalar\u0131 incelendikten sonra, sosyal medyan\u0131n bu al\u0131\u015fkanl\u0131klar\u0131 nas\u0131l de\u011fi\u015ftirdi\u011fi ve bu etkilenmenin farkl\u0131 jenerasyonlarda nas\u0131l farkl\u0131l\u0131klar g\u00f6sterdi\u011fi irdelenmi\u015ftir. Firstly, in the framework of new media theory, Web 2.0 concept is examined then the definition of social media and the increasing effects in our lives are examined. After examining consumer buying behaviors and decision making mechanisms before social media era, how social media changes these habits and how these influences differ in different generations have been addressed.
