Yerel bas\u0131n yay\u0131mland\u0131\u011f\u0131 y\u00f6rede, bireylerin sorunlar\u0131n\u0131 \u00e7\u00f6zmelerine yard\u0131mc\u0131 olarak, bireyler aras\u0131ndaki ili\u015fkilerin olumlu y\u00f6nde geli\u015fmesini sa\u011flamak ve yerel d\u00fczeydeki kamuoyunun olu\u015fmas\u0131na katk\u0131da bulunmak amac\u0131yla varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 s\u00fcrd\u00fcrmektedir. Bunu yaparken de bir yandan yerel y\u00f6netimleri bir \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcde denetleyerek, ele\u015ftirerek kamu g\u00f6revi yapmaktad\u0131r. Yerel bas\u0131n, geli\u015fen teknolojiye ayak uydurarak tarihsel s\u00fcre\u00e7 i\u00e7erisinde ayakta durmay\u0131 ba\u015farm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Geli\u015fen teknolojiye ayak uyduran yerel bas\u0131n, internet gazetecili\u011fini kullanarak haber i\u00e7eriklerini zenginle\u015ftirip ulusal d\u00fczeyde kamuoyuna sesini duyurabilmi\u015ftir. Yerel bas\u0131n geli\u015fen matbaa teknolojisine de ayak uydurmu\u015f, bask\u0131 sistemlerini de\u011fi\u015ftirmi\u015f, tiraj say\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131 art\u0131rm\u0131\u015f ve sayfa say\u0131lar\u0131nda art\u0131\u015f olmu\u015ftur. Yapaca\u011f\u0131m bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada makale konusuna dair 1999 ve 2013 tarihlerinde \u00e7\u0131kan yerel bas\u0131n\u0131n durumu incelenmi\u015ftir. \u00c7al\u0131\u015fmada ki ama\u00e7, tarihsel s\u00fcre\u00e7lerde \u00f6nemli bir g\u00f6rev \u00fcstlenen yerel bas\u0131n\u0131n g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde geldi\u011fi noktaya dikkat \u00e7ekmektir. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma, ar\u015fiv taramas\u0131, metin analizi ve literat\u00fcr taramas\u0131 y\u00f6ntemiyle yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015f olup Mart 1999- Mart 2013 tarihlerinde yay\u0131mlanm\u0131\u015f olan Atak\u00f6y Gazetesi ve Kent Ya\u015fam Gazetesi incelenmi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n

EXAMINING TWO LOCAL NEWSPAPERS OF ATAK\u00d6Y NEWSPAPERS AND YA\u015eAM NEWSPAPERS<\/strong><\/p>\n

ABSTRACT<\/strong><\/p>\n

The local press that concentrates on solving various problems of individuals in local areas, is continuing its existence in order to enhance the relationship between the members of society, and contribute to the formation of the public opinion at local level. With doing this, it inherently monitors and controls the local governance. It is deemed a noble task because it also criticizes the local governance. The local press has adapted to technological advances and this enabled the local press to enrich its content and it has survived being disappeared. Thanks to online journalism, local press have been able to reach millions of people at national level. Besides, the local press have started to use new printing technologies and this have resulted in that local newspapers have increased their circulation and they have been able to increase their number of pages that were limited before shifting to new printing technologies. In this study, the state of the local press in 1999 and 2013 are examined and the main purpose of the study is pointing out the historical evolution of the local press and which roles the local press plays today. This study was carried out by methods such as literature review, archival scanning, and text analysis, and finally \u201cAtak\u00f6y Gazetesi\u201d (newspaper) and \u201cKent Ya\u015fam\u201d (newspaper) which were published between March 1999 and March 2013 were examined in order to elaborate the subject.<\/p>\n
